A quick 20 minutes on the Hercules Cluster, M13. Taken with #72ed and #zwo #asi178mc On the #skywatcher #eq5pro My second supernova! \o/ Not often I do a star trails but the main rig was busy and I wanted something else to do. Last night my 11 year old took his first astro images. Super proud daddy! Taken with an EQ5 Pro (the one that fell down the garden 18 months ago) and 200PDS. Pretty good in their own right, but considering he has #autism #adhd and #aspergers it shows you CAN do it if you dream it. Two weeks of illness, that I had the foresight to setup my rig just before, which then sat there for 10 straight nights just quietly doing it's thing. Didn't have to do anything other than remote in and tell it what to point at and shoot! Been off ill for over a week now and still a long way from feeling like I should. Thankfully just before I went ill I was able to set the rig up just as a run of clear nights started. Not had to take it down or anything, instead it's been sat there the whole time just doing it's own thing. Thank god for remote access! Managed to get a little mooning done last week whilst trying out a new mount configuration. This is 15% of a 200 frame capture with the 72ED scope and AS178MC camera on the EQ5 Pro mount just as it was getting to twilight, used more as a focus test than anything else as my auto focuser has gone down 🤦 She went to #mars on board #perseverance but now she's going to her favourite place to take pictures of, the #moon on board #artemis1 courtesy #nasa Back where it should be. Now we just need clear skies...🙏
